Which colour, and which size?

All three colours are the same leaf pattern and the same gauze — you are choosing a temperature, not a quality. Then pick the size by whether this covers a person or a bed.

Choose If this sounds like you
Grey Your sofa is charcoal or your bedroom is white and black, and you want texture in the room without introducing a colour you then have to match to.
Khaki Everything you own is oatmeal, linen and timber, and grey would read cold in it. Khaki sits with warm neutrals the way grey sits with cool ones.
Green You want the leaf pattern to actually read as leaves from across the room, and you are happy for the blanket to be the thing people look at.
59"×79" One person on a sofa, or a folded layer across the end of a bed.
79"×91" It has to be the top layer on a shared bed and hang over the sides rather than perch on top.

The small size in one colour and the large in another is a common order — they read as a set without matching exactly.

Will an open weave snag on everything?

Gauze is loose by design, and the fix is entirely in what you keep away from it. Treat it like a good sweater and it will outlast three fleece throws.

Works on Avoid
Upholstered sofas, beds, armchairs, reading corners, a folded layer on a bench or ottoman, and anywhere you want softness without bulk Rattan and cane furniture with rough ends, splintery outdoor timber, washing alongside zips and hook-and-loop straps, and dogs with long claws

Cold gentle wash, low tumble or line dry. If a thread does pull, snip it flush rather than tugging it — that is the step people get wrong, and pulling a thread in a gauze weave turns one snag into a run across the panel.

The layer that makes a bed look finished without adding heat to it.

A stripped-back summer bed always looks slightly unmade — a fitted sheet, a flat sheet, and nothing to give it a top edge. You end up putting a heavy quilt back on for the sake of the photo and then sleeping half-uncovered under it. A leaf-print gauze layer solves both ends of that. It gives the bed a visible top surface with pattern and texture, and it weighs almost nothing when you are actually under it.

The leaf pattern is in the cloth, not on it

The leaves come through as a tonal pattern in the weave rather than a hard printed graphic sitting on the surface. That is why it works in three colourways that are all essentially neutral — you get pattern at close range and texture from across the room, which is a much easier thing to live with than a bold print you get sick of in a season.

It also changes how the blanket behaves. Printed surfaces stiffen the cloth and crack along fold lines over time. A woven-in pattern keeps the whole panel equally soft, so the blanket drapes uniformly and there is no line down the middle where it has been folded on a shelf. Gauze then does what gauze does: it relaxes with every wash, the crinkle deepens, and it gets softer rather than thinner.

The three colourways in a real room

  • Grey — cool and quiet. Leaves read as texture more than as botanicals. Best on dark or monochrome furniture where you want depth rather than contrast.
  • Khaki — the warm neutral. Sits naturally with oak, rattan, linen and cream, and stops a beige room from looking flat by adding pattern in the same family instead of a competing colour.
  • Green — the one with an actual opinion. The leaf motif reads clearly, and it works as the single point of colour in a pale room or alongside real plants without looking like a coincidence.
