Will the finish wear off?
The way a coloured finish gets ruined is abrasion, not use. Scouring pads and dishwasher detergent tablets are far harsher on a coloured surface than flour and butter ever will be. Wash them gently and they stay the colour you bought.

The step everyone skips: levelling. Scoop, then drag the back of a knife across the rim. A heaped cup of flour can be a third more than a level one, which is the actual reason a cake comes out dry.
