Working in hospitality means I care deeply about liability and safety. The textured surface provides a sophisticated non-slip grip that looks expensive. A fantastic sanitary tool.
Measure the flat floor of your shower or tub — not the outside of the enclosure. The mat needs to sit entirely on level surface for the cups to hold.
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| Small — 15" × 28" | Standard shower cubicles and smaller tubs. The most common choice, and our best seller. |
| Medium — 17" × 30" | Full-size bathtubs and larger walk-in showers. Choose this if you want coverage from tap end to tap end. |
Better slightly small than slightly large. A mat that has to curl up the side wall can't grip properly along that edge.
Suction cups fail for one of two reasons, and both are avoidable:
| Grips properly on | Won't hold on |
|---|---|
| Acrylic and fibreglass shower bases | Textured or anti-slip moulded floors |
| Enamel and porcelain tubs | Small mosaic tile — too many grout lines |
| Large-format smooth tile | Stone or unglazed surfaces |
To fit it: clean the floor properly first — soap residue is the number one cause of a mat that slides. Wet the cups, lay the mat down, and press along it firmly with your palm. Lift a corner to release it, don't drag it.
Most bath mats fail the same way. They slide a little at first, then more. Water sits underneath with nowhere to go, and within a few months the underside is black. You scrub the top — the top was never the problem — and eventually you throw it out and buy another one.

Three things are doing the work here. The suction cups hold to a clean smooth floor and keep holding while you shift your weight on them. The open PVC structure drains straight through, so water never pools underneath — which is what actually causes the black speckling on a cheap mat. And the surface itself is antibacterial, so it resists the mould and odour buildup that makes an old mat unpleasant to stand on.
It's soft underfoot, which sounds minor until you're the one standing on it barefoot every morning. Rinse it under the shower head to clean — no scrubbing, no removal, no effort.
