Measure the seating area — inside of one arm to inside of the other — not the full outside width of the sofa. Then choose below.

Also check your seat depth, back cushion to front edge. Most sofas are 21–24" and suit the 28" sizes. If yours is deeper than that — common on low, loungey sofas — take the 31" × 71".
