The pattern is lovely but mine arrived with a couple of creases that took a while to disappear. Once it was up, though, it looked much better. I wouldn't say it's perfect, but it's cute for the price.
Which size fits my shower?
Measure the rod, not the tub — that's the number that decides this. Then check the drop from the rod to the floor, because the difference between the two 71"-wide options is entirely about height.
| Choose | If this sounds like you |
|---|---|
| 59" × 71" | A narrow corner shower or a small rented bathroom. You want it to cover the opening without a metre of surplus fabric bunching against the wall. |
| 71" × 71" | A standard tub with the rod at the usual height. The default for most bathrooms — square, drapes with a bit of gather, sits above the tub rim. |
| 71" × 79" | Your rod is mounted high, or the ceiling is. If your current curtain stops short and water runs down the wall behind it, this is the one. |
If you're between two heights, go longer — excess tucks into the tub, a short curtain can't be fixed.
Does this need a liner behind it?
Treat this as the curtain you look at, with a liner as the curtain that does the wet work. That pairing is how printed shower curtains stay looking good for years instead of months.
| Works well | Avoid |
|---|---|
| Hung on the outside with a liner inside the tub taking the direct spray | Leaving it bunched at one end after showering, wet, with no airflow |
| A standard straight or curved shower rod | Bleach on the print — it takes the depth out of the branch detail |
| Cool gentle machine wash when it needs it | Hot tumble drying, which sets creases into the panel |
The step almost everyone skips: pulling the curtain fully closed across the rod when you get out. Spread flat, it dries in an hour. Shoved to one end, it stays damp all day — that's where the smell comes from, not the fabric.
A bathroom where the first thing you notice isn't the plumbing.
Small bathrooms are mostly hard surfaces — tile, glass, chrome, a white tub. There is almost nothing in the room that isn't cold to look at, and the shower curtain is usually the largest single thing on the wall, which makes a plain white one a wasted opportunity. Hang a branch-and-bird print in that space and the room stops reading as a wet cupboard. It's the one change you can make to a rented bathroom in four minutes without asking anybody.

Why the scale of the print is what makes or breaks it
Most botanical shower curtains fail for the same reason: the pattern is too dense and too small, so from three feet away it reads as noise. The branch design here is drawn open — clear negative space between the limbs, birds placed rather than scattered — which means the shape survives being gathered on a rod. That matters, because a shower curtain is almost never seen flat. It's seen with a third of its width folded into pleats, and a design that only works flat will look like static once it's hung.
Open space in the print also keeps a small bathroom feeling bigger. Dense pattern closes a room in; a light ground with drawn branches over it does the opposite, which is why this works in the windowless bathroom as well as the nice one.
- 59" × 71" — the tightest hang. Less gather, so more of the branch pattern reads flat and legible. Best where the wall behind is plain tile.
- 71" × 71" — square and even. Enough width for soft vertical folds, which is what makes the print look like fabric rather than a printed sheet.
- 71" × 79" — the tall drop. The extra height stretches the branch motif upward and makes a low ceiling read taller, which is worth more in a small bathroom than almost anything else.
