Which Size fits my sofa?

Measure the seat from one arm to the other along the front edge, then take the size that covers that span with some to spare — the extra tucks in and stops the cover creeping. Every size is 71 inches deep, so you are only choosing length. All four come in all four colours.

Choose If this sounds like you
71" × 71" An armchair, a recliner, or the single seat someone in the house has quietly claimed as theirs.
71" × 102" A two-seater or a compact loveseat — the sofa in a flat, a study, or a second living room.
71" × 134" The standard three-seater most living rooms are built around. If you are guessing, this is usually the one.
71" × 165" A long four-seater, or a sofa plus the chaise section that always gets left uncovered.

Between two sizes, take the longer one. Excess tucks away down the back; a shortfall shows at the arm every time.

Will it stay where I put it?

Every sofa cover slides if you lay it on and walk away. The ones that stay put are the ones tucked properly the first time. Five minutes at the start decides whether you spend the next six months straightening it.

Works on Avoid
Fabric and leather sofas, armchairs, recliners, chaise sections, day beds, and any sofa where the seat cushions lift out so you can tuck underneath them Fully fixed one-piece seats with no gap to tuck into, and sofas where the only anchoring point would be a lit fireplace or a radiator right behind

Fitting it: lift the seat cushions, lay the cover centred over the sofa, then press the surplus down into the crease at the back and along each arm before you drop the cushions back on. Care: cool gentle machine wash with like colours, no bleach, no fabric softener — softener coats the fibre and is the fastest way to kill the cool feel. Line dry or low tumble. The step people skip — the tuck under the cushions. Skip it and the cover walks forward a couple of inches every day until it is a rug.

The sofa stops being the hottest seat in the house in February and July alike.

Two things happen to a well-used sofa. It gets warm — the kind of clammy warm where you have been sitting in the same spot for an hour and your back is stuck to it. And it gets tired: a shine on the arms, a stain nobody owns up to, a colour that was right in 2019. A cover deals with both at once, which is unusual. You get a seat that does not hold your body heat, and you get to reset the look of the largest object in the room without moving anything heavier than a cushion.

What "cooling" is actually doing under you

A cooling cover is not refrigerated and does not have a battery. What it does is move heat away from the contact point faster than upholstery does. Ordinary sofa fabric is a good insulator — that is why it is comfortable in winter and awful in a heatwave. It traps the heat your body produces right at the surface, and after twenty minutes you are sitting on a warm patch you made yourself.

A cooling surface has the opposite priority. It conducts that heat outward across the fabric instead of holding it in one place, which is why the seat feels cool when you first touch it and, more usefully, why it does not build to that sticky warmth an hour in. Get up and the spot you were in comes back to room temperature quickly rather than staying warm.

The practical side effects are just as good. It sits between everyone and the upholstery underneath, so crumbs, spills, pet hair and the general erosion of daily use land on something you can put in the machine.

  • Grey — the safe one. Works with almost any existing sofa colour and hides everyday marks better than the other three.
  • Champagne — warm and pale. Lifts a dark or heavy sofa and suits a room with cream walls and timber.
  • Blue — the one that reads as a decision. Turns a tired neutral sofa into a deliberate colour without buying furniture.
  • Green — muted and grounded. Sits well in a room with plants and natural light, and does not fight a patterned rug.
