Which colour, when the whole bathroom is white?

There is one size — 14"×27" — so colour is the only decision, and in a bathroom it is really a decision about how much you want to see the mat. Against a white tub, darker colours read as a deliberate stripe and paler ones disappear into the enamel.

Choose If this sounds like you
Dark Grey You want the mat to be obviously there — useful in a household where someone elderly or unsteady needs to see exactly where the safe footing is.
Khaki Your bathroom leans warm — wood, rattan, cream towels — and grey would look cold in it.
Green There are plants in the bathroom, or a green curtain or towel set already, and you want the mat to join in rather than sit apart.
Light Blue A classic white-and-blue bathroom, or a family bathroom where you want it to look soft rather than clinical.
Pink The bathroom is somebody's own — a kid's, a teenager's — and you would rather it did not look like hospital equipment.

Every colour is the same 14"×27" mat. Nothing changes but the look.

Will it actually stay put in my tub?

Grip depends entirely on the surface underneath — a bath mat needs a smooth, flat, clean base to hold onto, and it cannot hold onto texture. This is the part worth checking before you order, because it decides whether the mat works or slides.

Works on Avoid
Smooth acrylic and enamel bathtubs, flat-bottomed shower trays, any base you can run a hand across without feeling ridges Textured or anti-slip moulded tub bases, tiled shower floors with grout lines, curved or sloping bases, tubs with a soap film on them

Before the first use, clean the tub base properly and dry it, then wet both the base and the underside of the mat and press it down from the middle outwards to push the air out. That last part is the step everyone skips — laying it down flat traps air and the mat never fully seats. Lift it after each bath, rinse it, and stand it up to dry rather than leaving it face-down on a wet tub all day.

Getting out of the bath stops being the risky bit of the day.

Everybody has done the small skid — one foot goes, you grab the tap or the wall, and your heart rate spikes for ten seconds. Wet enamel with a film of shower gel on it has close to no grip at all, and it is worse for anyone with a dodgy knee or a hip they are careful about. A mat is an unglamorous purchase that removes an entire category of small daily anxiety, particularly if you are buying it for a parent rather than yourself.

Why the underside is the whole product

The top of a bath mat is texture for your feet. The bottom is what stops the mat itself becoming the thing you slip on, and it is where cheap mats fail. It grips at first, then the suction weakens, and one morning the mat moves under you — which is more dangerous than having no mat at all, because you were trusting it.

Two things keep that from happening, and both are maintenance rather than magic. The base has to be clean, because soap scum is a lubricant and it builds up invisibly under a mat left in place. And the mat has to dry, because a mat that sits face-down on wet enamel between baths grows exactly the black mildew spotting that makes people throw them away after four months. Lifting and rinsing it takes five seconds and roughly triples how long you keep it. That is the reason the title says easy to clean and it is not marketing — it is a mat you are supposed to pick up.

The five colours in a real bathroom

  • Dark Grey — high contrast against white enamel. Reads as a defined safe zone, which matters if visibility is part of why you are buying it.
  • Khaki — muted and warm. Sits well with wood, cork and cream, and does not show hard-water marks the way a bright colour does.
  • Green — the one that ties to plants and green towels. The most decorative of the five.
  • Light Blue — near-invisible in a white-and-blue bathroom. Choose this if you would rather not see the mat at all.
  • Pink — soft and obviously chosen. Makes a shared or child's bathroom feel less like a safety fitting.

What You're Getting

  • One GripMaster Bathtub Mat in your chosen Colour, in the single 14"×27" Size
  • Five colours — Dark Grey, Khaki, Green, Light Blue and Pink, all identical apart from the colour
  • Long, narrow format that runs down the length of a tub rather than sitting as a square in the middle
  • Textured top surface for footing when the tub is wet and soapy
  • Gripping underside designed for smooth acrylic and enamel bases
  • Lift-and-rinse design — meant to be taken up and dried, not left down permanently
  • Care: clean and dry the tub base before the first fitting, then press the mat down from the centre outwards
  • Care: lift and rinse after each use, and stand it up to dry
  • Care: clean off soap film regularly — it is what kills grip over time
