How many panels do I need?
Each curtain is sold as one panel, 52" wide. For a full, gathered look — the way curtains look in photographs — you want roughly twice your window's width in fabric. Most windows need two panels.
| Your window width | Panels to order |
|---|---|
| Up to 47" | 2 panels |
| 47" – 73" | 3 panels |
| 73" – 99" (sliding doors) | 4 panels |
A single panel works well for narrow windows, or when you only want a curtain on one side. This curtain has a grommet top — metal eyelet rings you simply thread the rod through.
Choosing your length
Measure from the top of your curtain rod down to where you want the curtain to end, then pick the closest size:
| Size | Best for |
|---|---|
| 52" × 72" | Just below the sill — bedrooms and smaller windows |
| 52" × 84" | Floor length with the rod mounted high above the frame |
| 52" × 96" | 9ft ceilings |
Designer tip: mount your rod 4–6" above the window frame and extend it 3–6" past each side. The window looks taller and wider, and the curtains clear the glass when open so you keep all your light.
