Which size — is this a throw or a bed blanket?
It can be either, and the four sizes are what decides it. Three of them share the same 79" length and simply get wider, so you are really choosing how many people it has to cover. The largest goes wider and longer, for a bed.

Will the embroidery flatten out, and will the fleece pill?
Both are heat problems. Fleece pills when it is agitated hot and dried hot; raised embroidery crushes when it spends half an hour tumbling under weight. Wash it the right way and neither happens — wash it like a bath towel and both will.

Winter evenings in most houses follow a script. The room is fine until about half past eight, then it is not, and somebody suggests the heating while somebody else says everyone is going to bed soon anyway. Nobody wins that conversation. Embroidery rather than print, which is the whole point
A printed pattern on fleece has a short life. The pile is soft and mobile, so anything sitting on the surface breaks up along the fold lines and goes pale where the blanket rubs against itself. Embroidery is stitched into the fabric, so the leaf design is physically part of the blanket — it cannot crack, peel or wash off, and it holds a raised edge you can feel under your hand. That raised surface is also why this blanket looks like something in a room. A flat fleece is a rectangle of colour and reads as cheap however soft it is; a leaf worked in relief catches side light and gives a plain colourway some structure, which is what lets you leave it out on the bed instead of hiding it when people visit.
The six colourways
- Blush Petal — soft warm pink. The embroidery shows as a tonal shadow rather than contrast; the gentlest of the six in a bedroom.
- Oat Cream — pale and warm. Sits with linen bedding and light wood, and makes a small room feel lighter rather than filled.
- Mocha Beige — the deepest neutral. Best against leather, walnut and darker floors, and the most forgiving in a house with a dog.
- Willow Green — muted sage. The only one where the leaf embroidery and the colour say the same thing, which is either the point or too much, depending on your taste.
- Stone Grey — the safe default. Cool-toned and modern, and the one that disappears into a grey sofa so the embroidery does all the talking.
- Vanilla Frost — the lightest and coolest of the pale shades. Reads almost white in daylight, with the relief pattern picking up the shadow.
