Colette is a small, weighty object that makes a candle feel like an occasion. Two rounded halves of white marble meet at a narrow waist wrapped in a polished gold band — an hourglass shape that looks as good sitting empty on a shelf as it does lit on the dinner table.
It also takes whatever candle you have. The top has a wide, shallow well for a pillar or a tealight, with a hole in the centre to hold a taper upright. Use a slim taper for a formal table, a chunky pillar on the coffee table, or a tealight on the edge of the bath.

Each holder is white marble with soft grey veining, finished smooth, with a gold band at the waist that catches the flame. Because marble is a natural stone, the veining is different on every piece — no two holders are quite the same. Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth.
