Which size do I need?

Size this to the spot your pet actually claims, not to the whole sofa. Work out which seat they settle on, then measure just that section — across a single recliner seat, or from the inside of one arm to the inside of the other on a loveseat. The protector is built to guard one seating area properly rather than blanket the entire couch.

If your dog stretches out across two cushions, go for the 30" × 47". For a cat or a smaller dog that curls into one corner, the 30" × 30" is better — it keeps the bolsters close enough on either side to lean against.

How it fits

This works as a pet bed laid over one seat section, not as a sofa cover — the rest of the couch stays exposed, which is the point: you are giving your dog or cat a defined spot and protecting that spot properly. The quilted, water-resistant microfibre surface takes the muddy paws, drool and the occasional accident before any of it reaches your upholstery, while the non-slip backing keeps the whole thing anchored to the cushion through the circling and digging that precedes a nap. The plush bolster cushions run along the sides to give a head and back rest, so pets tend to settle into it rather than push it aside. When it needs freshening up, the whole protector lifts off and goes in the machine.
